Tao deserves reverence,
but has no use for worship,
no need for recognition.
Tao can shine out from people
who have never heard of it,
or find it incomprehensible.
A vacuum seeks to be filled.
Create a space for Tao to
flow in.
Become a blockhead to draw
wisdom in.
Bow low:
Rise high!
Tao
takes no heed of religious beliefs, but works more freely in
those whose faith or morality encourages similar attitudes
and values.
Tao works chiefly behind the scenes, inconspicuously and
imperceptibly guiding decisions and actions; and takes no
credit for outcomes.
To know Tao is
ineffably more precious than to know
about Tao.
Indeed too much 'knowing about' can get in
the way of 'knowing'.
