HIDDEN DEPTHS
Sail afar:
But take an anchor.
Climb high:
But guard your step.
Enter the maze:
But hold the thread.Lift the veil:
But shield the eye.
Dark Matter?
Bright Spirit!
Tao regards static balance as
akin to stagnation, obstruction, frustration,
boredom and delay.
Tao's balance is
dynamic: favouring bold action, but avoiding blind rashness;
taking initiatives, whilst staying grounded.
A skilled climber is well aware of the importance of retaining balance when
making moves. Those who
lose it are heading for a fall!
Sturdy stability allied to an economy
of action is
the basis of several 'martial arts'; or when combined with
graceful movement, of Tai-Chi.
