BECOMING
In bare earth:
seeds take root.In an empty mind:
ideas form.Onto a blank page:
words fall.
Through an open doorway:
Tao emerges.
To Be?
From not to be!
From a Taoist
perspective, creation or 'being' can be regarded as a natural
consequence of, or response to, 'non-being'.
A newborn
draws breath to bawl out; a bowstring is drawn back to
give flight; water is drawn forth by an empty bucket.
According
to this view, a void might be said to invite becoming
filled, or a question to suggest an answer.
Creative processes continually incline
towards their natural pace or rhythm, or revert to it after
disturbance.
