Water seeks low places.
Tao flows that way too.
Becoming lowly,
The sage is a
channel.
Becoming still,
The sage is a pool.
Becoming empty,
The sage is filled full.
A hole?
Whole!
The sage roams about
scattering droplets of wisdom like dew: in
words, deeds, gestures.
Tao enjoins: respect and nurture your roots;
be pointed against hypocrisy and self-deceit.
Deal fairly,
honestly and
openly; but be alert to fraud, trickery and lies. Resist cruelty, injustice,
incompetence.
Be kind but firm, polite but direct,
easy-going but not shallow. Steer towards clarity, and
away from confusion.
