The past gives roothold to the present:
use it to grow sturdy and vigorous.
The present provides a seeedbed for the future:
plant firmly, tend wisely, enjoy fully.
Take space to enlarge and flourish:
proffer shelter and nourishment.
Take time to enrich and mature:
furnish wonder and delight.
Take thought:
give thoughtfulness!
Giving and receiving, sowing
and reaping, investing and profiting, are all
examples of dynamic exchanges characteristic of
Tao.
Taoism seeks to enhance the value of such
interactions by imbuing them with a sense of balance and
wholesomeness.
